First Podcast on-line!!!!

Hey Class! Our first podcast is now available. Ashley, Brooke, and Kimberly's podcast was the first to go up. Check it out. Don't laugh too hard at my STRONG southern accent! Good job everyone. I look forward to listening to each and everyone's podcast.

Electronic Contact Assignment!!

Dr. Strange had the below on his blog. Good suggestion. Don't waste time, we meet only five more times!

"Have You Contacted A Teacher From Somewhere Else Yet? If Not, A Suggestion!
While preparing for my podcast, I found a website that is a great way to connect with other teachers. Go to TEACHERS.NET and look for the chatboard. There you will find requests from teachers for penpals for their students. Make a contact and get your homework done."

Don't forget about your ACCESS assignment. Time is running out.

Blog Posting Requirements

There seems to be a little confusion. Please make a post to YOUR blog regarding Mr. Sullivan's presentation. I'm sure he welcomes your post to his blog site, but also put a post on your blog. Also, for the blog assignments for the remainder of the semester, use the list that I gave you from Dr. Strange. This list is also linked to on this blog. Thanks.

Additional Bog Assignment for October 15th

1. For the blog post due Wednesday October 15th, write two or more paragraphs in which you describe the Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) and the resources available to teachers well enough so that someone unfamiliar with AVL would understand what it is and how it works. Then provide the reader with your thoughts as to the usefulness of AVL to you when you begin teaching. (Alabama Virtual Library Website)

2. Post your comments on the the ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL presentation you saw in person or looked at online and describe what you learned and how the information can help you as an educator in the future. (Mr. Sullivan's Presentation)
